In general, you’ll be clicking these buttons twice. One to start the format, and then one to end the formatting.

The bold b button means bold. Go fig.

The italic i button means italic.

The link button is for linking to other sites, like this one to my webpage.

If you want to quote someone, use the b-quote button:

No matter where you go, there you are.

If you want to have a list of things, use the ul button, then the li button for each item:

  • First item
  • Second item
  • Third item

If you want an ordered list of things, use the ol button, then the li button for each item:

  1. First item
  2. Second item
  3. Third item

If the post is getting long and you only want to show part of it on the main page, use the more button at the point you’d like to give folks a “Read the rest of this entry” link for folks to click on:


(look at this in edit mode to see what the button will put on the page – this trick only works on regular posts…)

When the click that link, it’ll jump to the rest of the entry. Pretty slick.

Now that you’ve seen how they’ll look when you read the post, edit this post so you can see what it’ll look like when you use the buttons.
